We give you access to local crime and policing information in a way that is useful to you.
This information is useful when considering new accommodation, a holiday in the UK, to raise an issue at your local beat meeting or to help you take an active role in preventing crime and anti-social behaviour in your local community.
Crime data is only available in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The privacy of individuals is protected and indirectly (through the Government Statistics) work closely with the Information Commissioner’s Office to ensure that all necessary safeguards are in place.
The website is updated within 24 hours of the UK Government releasing the crime statistics. The statistics are released on a monthly basis and are usually one month behind. For example, an incident of crime or anti-social behaviour reported to the police on 5th of September will be visible on the website during the October update.
We provide Crime Statistic Reports based on the following Crime Categories:
Anti-social behaviour, Bicycle theft, Burglary, Criminal damage and arson, Drugs, Other crime, Other theft, Possession of weapons, Public order, Robbery, Shoplifting, Theft from the person, Vehicle crime and Violence and sexual offences
